Camila was born in Havana on March 3, 1997. She auditioned for X Factor in 2012 and joined Fifth Harmony, a girl group in which she was the singer in charge. Cabello together with her band-mates released an EP as well as two studio albums. Her departure from the group was announced on the 18th of December 2016. Cabello was the lead singer and released two hit singles including 'I Know What You Did Last summer' and 'Bad Things featuring Shawn Mendes. Cabello was working on her debut solo album in 2017. Camila had a number of appearances with other artists like Cashmere Cat's song "Love Incredible", as well as Pitbull and J Balvin's 'Hey Ma' scoring the artists as well as Camila herself getting a Grammy nomination. Cabello was able to secure a Guess contract to become an official Guess girl. She will also be the Guess campaign's face for 2017. Cabello was invited to be the Opening show for the Bruno Mars 24K Magic World Tour. She performed 20 shows. Cabello released her smash single "Havana" on the 3rd of August on the 3rd of August, 2017 to thank her fans. In light of the huge success of the song, Cabello then announced in an interview that 'Havana' was the first official single from her debut album. She has scrapped her earlier song 'Crying in The Club', which was originally planned as the debut single. Hot 100 Billboard ranked 'Havana #1, which is the top spot on the UK Official charts, and more than 80 other #1's on iTunes. "Havana" reached #1 on the official charts of the world, making her a household name as solo artist. It also gave Camila the title of being the top-ranked artist for the longest period of time held by female artists in 2017.
