David Foster

David Walter Foster, OC, OBC is a multi-Grammy-winning musician, composer, songwriter and arranger from Canada. Through the course of his nearly five decades-long career, he's been one of the few important people in modern western music that has had an impact on most, if not all, of the recent changes. His training was intended to complement his musical talent. Foster began taking piano lessons at the age of four and was enrolled in the University of Washington's music program nine years afterward. Foster moved to Los Angeles in 1974 as an artist in the group Skylark. After the first and inexplicably difficult years when he won his first Grammy Award. He has since recorded gold and platinum albums for artists like Earth, Wind & Fire; Natalie Cole; Michael Bolton; Seal; Kenny Rogers; Dolly Parton; Chicago; Hall & Oates; Brandy; and 'N Sync and written timeless classic songs for several blockbuster films, including 'The Bodyguard'; 'Urban Cowboy' and the song 'St. Elmo's Fire'. Between 2012 until 2016, he worked as chairman of Universal's Verve Music Group, adding another feather to his cap. Recently, he was a part of 'Asia's Got Talent's panel of judges.
