Denzel Washington

 Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. was born on December 28, 1954 in Mount Vernon, New York. He is the middle of three children of a beautician mom, Lennis, from Georgia, and a Pentecostal minister father, Denzel Washington, Sr., from Virginia. After graduating from high school, Denzel enrolled at Fordham University, intent on an academic career in journalism. He was an actor in the drama productions. After graduation , he moved to San Francisco to enroll at the American Conservatory Theater. He left A.C.T. After only one year, he left A.C.T. to pursue acting work. His first job as an actor was with a St. Mary's City summer stock theatre stage production. The show was "Wings of the Morning" and is about the founding of the colony of Maryland (now the state of Maryland) and the beginning days of the Maryland colonial assembly (a legislative body). Though the dialogue was composed, Mathias DaSousa played the historic role. He began to seek roles on the screen after the film. With his acting versatility and impressive presence, he was not having any difficulty finding work in numerous television shows.
