Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian actor and author. Her most well-known part is as "Kate Austen" in the TV show "Lost.". Lilly was the lead female character. She was awarded the 'Screen Actors Guild Award' for her performance in the series. She also appeared in films like The Hurt Locker "Real Steel," and The Hobbit series. Lilly is one of the actors who is a part of Hollywood who's never dreamed about being an actor. Lilly was born into an evangelical family and has always been interested in charity and humanitarian work. As a teenager Lilly was involved in a missionary trip to Philippines. Her entry into modelling and acting was made possible through an accidental discovery by a modeling agency. In order to save money for university she decided to take up modeling. Even though she has received numerous awards for her performance, Lilly insists that stardom wasn't the right choice for her. She is also an avid reader and a prolific writer. Lilly is the author of 'The Squickerwonkers', a children's book. She is also involved in numerous 'NGOs' and is currently pursuing an acting career. Lilly will be in the upcoming movie 'Avengers made by Marvel Studios.
