Giada Pamela de Laurentiis is an Italian-born American chef, television personality, and writer. She is known as the host of the television show "Giada at home" that airs on Food Network. The show has received two nominations for the Emmy Award and has also won her a Gracie Award. Laurentiis was born in Rome. As a young girl she emigrated to the USA. Initially, she worked as an executive chef in various restaurants in Los Angeles. After she styled a piece for 'Food & Wine magazine and being contacted afterward by the Food Network. Her daytime cooking show, "Everything Italian", earned her an Emmy Award as 'Outstanding Lifestyle host'. She currently hosts the TV show, 'Giada At Home'. Laurentiis is also the writer of several books. Laurentiis' books "Giada at Home' and "Weeknights" were at the top of the New York Times Best Seller List. In 2012 she was inducted into Culinary Hall of Fame.
