Giada Pamela De Laurentiis Italian-born American chef, TV host, and writer. The show she hosts, "Giada At Home", airs on Food Network. She was nominated for two Emmy Awards. She also received the Gracie Award. Laurentiis was raised in Rome. When she was a child she emigrated to the USA. In Los Angeles, she started out as a chef. After she styled a feature for 'Food and Wine magazine and being contacted later by the Food Network. It was then that she launched her daytime cooking show 'Everything Italian' which won her an Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Lifestyle Host'. She is currently host of the popular TV show 'Giada at Home'. Laurentiis has written several books, too. 'Giada at Home' and 'Weeknights' occupied the top spot on the New York Times Best Seller List. She was admitted into the Culinary Hall of Fame in 2012.
