 American comedian actor, actor, and singer Jamie Foxx. He has won an Academy Award for Best Actor, BAFTA Award for Best Actor in an Leading Role and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, for his work in the biographical film Ray (2004). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2004 for his role in the action movie Collateral. Other prominent acting roles include the title role in the movie Django Unchained (2012), the villainous Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) as well as William Stacks in the modern version of Annie (2014).Jamie Foxx was born Eric Marlon Bishop in Terrell, Texas, to Louise Annette Talley and Darrell Bishop, who worked as a stockbroker. He then changed his name Shahid Abdula. His mother was an adoptive child. When her marriage to her father fell apart the grandparents of his mother, Mark and Estelle Talley, stepped in and, when he was seven months, adopted Jamie too. According to his account, he was a strict child who could join the Boy Scouts as well as the church choir. During high school, he was a the position of quarterback for his high school team and was good enough to be able to received press from Dallas newspapers. He majored in music at college. He has released a music album.
