Janet Leigh

Jeanette Helen Morrison was an American performer, actress author, dancer, and author. Her role in the thriller film "Psycho," she was honored with the prestigious Golden Globe award. Her role in the movie earned her an Academy Award nomination. She was the mother of Kelly Cutis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh got her initial break thanks to actress Norma Shearer. Her first appearance was in acting in 1946 on the radio, and then she grabbed a contract with MGM in the year 1947. She was an acclaimed actor in several blockbuster films, including Little Women, Angels in the Outfield and Scaramouche. The marriage she had with actor Jamie Lee Curtis made headlines many times, and then it ended up in divorce in 1962. The same year, she quit acting. While she was in a few movies, these were very few. Leigh passed away in 2004 following a year-long battle with an illness that was caused by the inflammation of a blood vessel.
