Jeanette Helen Morrison, widely called Janet Leigh, was a well-known American actress, dancer writer, and singer. She was awarded the world famous Golden Globe awards for her performance in the thriller film called 'Psycho'.. The actress also received an Academy Award nomination for her role in the movie. She was the mother of Kelly Cutis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was helped by actress Norma Shearer to get her first break. Leigh made her debut acting in 1946 on the radio, and then she was signed to MGM in the year 1947. She was a well-known actor in several major blockbuster movies, including Little Women, Angels in the Outfield and Scaramouche. The marriage she had with actress Jamie Lee Curtis made headlines many times, and then it resulted in divorce in 1962. In the same year she stopped acting. Although she appeared in some movies, these were very few. After a lengthy battle with inflammation of blood vessels, Leigh passed away in 2004.
