An actress who never fails to grab audiences' attention, Jennifer Tilly is by turns funny, sexy, captivating, and compassionate all at the same time. She voiced Monica Moran, the tone deaf character from The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) together with her brothers Beau Bridges and Jeff Bridges. She has been playing unforgettable characters since then. Her portrayal of Olive Neal, a hopelessly inept woman was rewarded with an Oscar nomination. The blockbuster Liar Liar (1997) followed with her memorable performance as Jim Carrey's gold-digging client. A sultry performance as Violet, opposite Gina Gershon, helped make Lana Wachowski's as well as Lilly Wachowski's Bound (1996) a breakout indie hit at the Sundance Film Festival and then in the theatres. The film also grew Jennifer's already large gay and lesbian following.Jennifer Tilly was born Jennifer Ellen Chan in Harbor City, Los Angeles she was the daughter of Harry Chan, a used car salesman born of Chinese origin and Patricia (nee Tilly), a schoolteacher and stage actress. Her sister is an actress Meg Tilly. John Ward, her stepfather and mother, raised them on rural Texada Island in British Columbia.
