Joe Walsh

William Joseph Walsh (born December 27 the year 1961) is an American politician and talk radio host. He is also a former social worker, and a former 2020 Republican presidential candidate who served for one term in the United States House of Representatives which represented the 8th congressional district.Born and raised in the Chicago metropolitan region, Walsh began his career as a social worker who provided the opportunity for job-related education and training for students from low-income regions, but he gradually became more politically involved. Walsh unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 1996 and for the Illinois House of Representatives 1998. However, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010 after defeating Melissa Bean, a three-term incumbent. Although he did not receive much Republican Party support in his bid against Bean however, he became popular among the Tea Party movement. In the 1990s, he referred to himself as a moderate Republican However, he later changed his mind and became a conservative Tea Party activist.During his time in Congress, Walsh was criticized for his frequent personal attacks on those in the Democratic Party and, specifically the president Barack Obama. Walsh claimed that Obama had abandoned the U.S.–Israel alliance, leading the country to become bankrupt. Walsh advocated a strict no-compromise approach when it came to legislating. This included refusing tax increases.
