Katy Perry, an American musician and singer was born into a strict family. She grew up with many limitations. After being a church singer during her early years, she pursued the gospel music industry during her teenage years. Although it wasn't permitted by her parents, Perry was exposed to all sorts of music offered to her by her friends, as she had an affinity for music from the very beginning. She was open and ardent in her support of her dream to be a musician. Her first attempts didn't go as planned and faced many obstacles before she received her first major break. Prior to her signing with Capitol Records, a number of her tracks were discarded. It was a turning point for her career in music. She was then able to begin her singing career, and has not ever looked back since. The success of her following album, "Teenage Dreams", has won the hearts and minds of music fans all over the world. It was also one of the most acclaimed albums ever.
