Virginia Madsen is an American producer and actor, most well-known for her roles in the movies 'Sideways' and 'Candyman. She is the daughter of Emmy Award'-winning writer and filmmaker Elaine Madsen and sister of the actor, poet, writer director, producer and photographer Michael Madsen, Virginia made her film debut with the American comedy "Class.' Following this she starred in the secondary character of 'Princess Irulan' in David Lynch's American epic science-fiction film "Dune.' She gained mainstream notoriety for her character 'Lisa Taylor' in the American romantic drama 'Fire with Fire. She later gave an award-winning performance in 'Candyman' and in 'Sideways. The latter earned her 'Academy Award' and 'Golden Globe' nominations. Virginia is also seen in 'A Prairie Home Companion', "The Rainmaker', 'Joy', as well as Red Riding Hood'. She has been featured in many TV series throughout the years, including 'Designated Survivor'.
