Lexa Doig

 Alexandra Doig, a Toronto native was the daughter of Gloria who was who was a Filipina mother, and David who was an Irish-Scottish father. Her parents owned season tickets to the local theater, and Lexa was inspired to start acting after watching a performance of "Porgy and Bess" at the age of nine. In the year 13 she quit high school and began modeling as well as commercial work. She also hosted YTV’s Video & Arcade Top 10 (1991), with Gordon Michael Woolvett. Her first job as a professional was at the age of 19 when she was paired with Greg Evigan and William Shatner in "TekWar". The actress was then cast in several projects for both the small and big screens, including CI5: The New Professionals (1998), Jungleground (1995) and No Alibi (2000), prior to landing the part in the lead in Jason X (2001), the 10th film in the Friday the 13th television series. Then, she was able to land the role of the title character in Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda (2000) in which she played the Andromeda Ascendant's advanced artificial intelligence system. She has also completed guest stints on several well-known television shows, such as Traders (1996), Earth: Final Conflict (1997), The Chris Isaak Show (2001). Her credits in the theatre include "Arsenic and old Lace" and "Romeo and Juliet".
