Lexa Doig

 Toronto native Alexandra Doig was born on June 8, 1973, to Filipina mother Gloria and Irish-Scottish father David. After seeing "Porgy and Bess" as a child, Lexa was inspired to take up acting. She left high school in grade 13, did modeling and commercial work, and was the host of the YTV's Video & Arcade Top 10 (1991) with friend Gordon Michael Woolvett.Her first professional job was at 19, when she was paired with William Shatner and Greg Evigan in "TekWar". The actress was then cast in a variety of projects on both the small and large screens as well as CI5: The New Professionals (1998), Jungleground (1995) and No Alibi (2000), before landing a lead part in Jason X (2001), the 10th episode of the Friday the 13th series. Then, she was able to land the role of the title character in Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda (2000) starring as the Andromeda Ascendant's advanced artificial intelligence system. She has also completed guest roles on various popular television shows, including Traders (1996), Earth: Final Conflict (1997), The Chris Isaak Show (2001). Her theatre credits include "Arsenic and old Lace" and “Romeo and Juliet".
