Lucy Liu

 Lucy Liu was born to immigrants from New York City. She has always sought to balance her interest in her cultural heritage and a desire for an experience that is more diverse. Her mother, Cecilia, a biochemist is from Beijing & her father, Tom Liu, a civil engineer, hails from Shanghai. The once-ethnic actress is now getting her feet wet as a leading lady across the board. She was a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and enrolled at NYU in 1986. But she was disillusioned by the dark and sarcastic atmosphere, so she transferred to the University of Michigan after her freshman year. She graduated w/ the degree of Asian Languages & Cultures, being able to fit in additional training in dance,
