Margaret Denise Quigley is an American film and television actress. Maggie Q is her stage name. She was originally planning to become veterinarian scientist, however the financial limitations of her family prevented her from obtaining the funding she needed. Her home city of Honolulu to make enough money to fund her ambition. She traveled to Tokyo to start her career as a model. She then moved to Taipei and finally settled in Hong Kong. While living in Hong Kong, she met the renowned Jackie Chan who took an immediate attraction to Q. Realising her true potential, Chan provided her with extensive training in how to become an action star. In 1998 she made her screen debut in the television drama "House of Dragon". She starred in her second feature film "Model from Hell" in the year following. Q's role as a 'Gen-Y Cop' in her subsequent film brought her debut appearance on an Hollywood film, Brett Ratner's "Rush Hour 2. Since then, she's been equally busy in both the Chinese and American film industry. She is a part of "Designated Survivors in the role of Hannah Wells.
