MATTHEW SETTLE

 At age 19, Matthew Settle moved to New York City and became a part of a band. After his lack of musical ability led him to reconsider his career, he chose to become an actor. After a series of drama classes, failed pilots and TV shows Settle, who was a latecomer to the film business was finally able to land his first role of major importance in I Still Know What You Did Last summer (1998). He was nearly 29 years old.Born on September 17, 1969 in Hickory, NC, Settle is the youngest of two girls and four boys. His father was a Baptist preacher and his mother was an church organist. The family moved in 1983. moved to Sevierville. Settle was an avid Dolly Parton fan and sold records at Dollywood's amusement park. Settle then made the decision to pursue a career as a musician. After being kicked out by the New York-based band Settle started selling seafood and meat from an Long Island truck before Jay Julian (Robert De Niro’s lawyer) took him to acting school. Settle was able to borrow money from friends to pay for classes, and then relocated to Los Angeles to start his career. In the weekly movie, What Happened To Bobby Earl?, he played a frat boy. (1997), Kate Jackson and Kristian Alfonso. He plays a small role in the TV movie Murder in Mind (1997) along with Ellen Burstyn, Kristin Davis.
