Morena Baccarin was the daughter actress Vera Setta, and Fernando Baccarin, a journalist. Ivan Setta was her uncle. She is both from Italian and Lebanese heritage as well as Brazilian/Portuguese. At the age of ten, she relocated to New York with her father. At the age of ten, she moved to New York with her father. After the film Roger Dodger (2002) she moved to Los Angeles where she came to the interest of Joss Whedon who decided to cast her in his short-lived sci-fi cult show Firefly (2002). Since then, she has never been seen off the screen.
