Nate Diaz is a legend in MMA. His manner of conduct, talent and charisma have made him a favorite among fans. He will be fighting under the final fight under his UFC contract on September. 10th, Diaz faces heavily-favored Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279. In the following weeks, he will be looking to explore different aspects of combat sports. Will the Stockton, Calif., native pull off the ultimate upset? Diaz was a brand newcomer to MMA in 2004 when he was awarded silver in the Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Championships in 2005. Diaz was a part of WEC, Strikeforce and joined the UFC as fighter in the year 2007. He took home The Ultimate Fighter 5 lightweight tournament by beating Manvel Gamburyan. In 26 fights, Diaz is 15-11 for the UFC. Diaz has faced the best fighters in the UFC as well as Clay Guida and Marcus Davis, Donald Cerrone (Jim Miller), and Michael Johnson. During his UFC period and his UFC career, he won eight Fight of the Night, four Submission of the Night and one Knockout of the Night bonus award.
