American streamer and professional eSports player Tyler Blevins, more commonly known as his online name "Ninja", was born in Grayslake, Illinois, to Chuck and Cynthia Blevins. He was in the movie A Gamer's Life (2016) as himself.It was his father, Chuck Blevins who introduced him to video games. Ninja started playing Halo 3 professionally in 2009. Ninja played professionally for several teams which included Cloud9 and Renegades. He also played for Team Liquid, Team Liquid, Luminosity Gaming, and Justin.tv. In 2011, Ninja moved to Twitch.tv. He started playing H1Z1 in the start of the early access program in conjunction with Steam, then moved to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds after it joined Steam's early access program. In 2017 the game was added to Luminosity Gaming as a Halo player. Then he switched to H1Z1 and then to PUBG. The latter was where he won the PUBG Gamescom Invitational for the 3rd Person Squads division. He started streaming Fortnite frequently and his following began to grow and grew with the game's growth in popularity. In September of 2017 when he was averaging 500k followers.
