Orenthal James Simpson was a former American football announcer, actor and player. Sometimes referred to as the Juice", his amazing and record-breaking football career took him to numerous other opportunities that became an inspiration for many others. He was a running back for the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He holds the record of being the first player to run more than 2000 yards in one season. The average yards-per-game of 143.1 in a single season is also an all-time record. He was at his peak as a player, and also attempted his hand at actor in the film industry. After retiring from professional football, he turned a football broadcaster and continued to pursue his acting career. His name was inducted into the "College Football Hall of Fame" as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He faced several legal hassles including murder charges against his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. He was charged with kidnapping and armed robbery among other offenses in Las Vegas. He is currently a sentenced felon who is incarcerated at the 'Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada and is serving 33 years of prison without parole for a minimum period of 9 years.
