Reba Nell McEntire, born Monday, March 28, 1955, in McAlester (Oklahoma). From the age of 5 the supreme Queen of Country music, Reba Nell McEntire has pursued a career in music. She performed in Junior High School along with her musical siblings, the Singing McEntires. A skilled athlete, Reba McEntire followed in the tradition of her rodeo-winning father in competitive barrel racing. Red Steagall, a songwriter was impressed by her rendition of "Star Spangled Banner" at the 1974 National Finals Rodeo Oklahoma City. He suggested she consider a career as an artist in the country music industry. She has since earned seven gold and five platinum albums as well as two Grammy Awards. She also pursued other entertainment avenues. In the year 1975, she was an interviewer on Good Morning America (1975). Her acting in "Tremors" is a film that focused on the effects of tremors, as well as in the mini-series Buffalo Girls (1995) received generally positive reviews. Starstruck Entertainment was formed in 1988 to oversee the entirety of her musical and acting careers
