Stana Katic is a Canadian-American TV and film actress who is famous for her role as detective Kate Beckett on the ABC TV series 'Castle' over the series' eight seasons. The series became very popular with the audience and she was awarded numerous awards, nominations and accolades. Because of her portrayal of her character's post-traumatic stress disorder the episode "Killshot," she won the 'PRISM Award' in the fourth season of the show. The show featured her as the co-lead with Nathan Fillion. Her role was so well liked by the fans that it was eventually cancelled. There was a furore from fans when it was revealed by an insider who knew her co-star Nathan Fillion was so abusive to her that she was known to be crying in her dressing room and that they were not even on the same page at the final. She has played significant roles in a number of Hollywood films like "Feast of Love, 'Stiletto', 'Quantum Of Solace', 'The Spirit', 'Truth About Kerry CBGB' "Lost in Florence'. She is an environmentalist and is the co-founder of The Alternative Travel Project which is a non-profit organisation that promotes the environmental benefits of traveling without a vehicle.
