 Thandie Newton is a well-known English film and television actress. She has played several roles representing the downtrodden black community across Europe as well as America. Her most well-known role is her character as a loyal house slave in the film "Interview with the vampire.' She is also well-known for her role in the film "Beloved," where she played the ghost of a young slave girl who is killed by her mother in order to free her from slavery. She has appeared in the TV film "In Your Dreams," as well as in the medical drama series 'ER' which were shown during prime-time. She was also recognized for her impressive performances. She has won awards for her role in the Science fiction's Westworld. But, she also won the BAFTA Award for 'Best Actress In the Supporting Role' movie 'Crash'. After being in an affair for six years with John Duigan, she later was married to Ol Parker, a producer and director. They have three children. After being a victim of sexual exploitation and sexual assault, she has been involved in efforts to stop rape and sexual violence against women.
