Tom Brady

 Tom Brady was born on August 3, 1977 , in San Mateo, California, to Galynn Patricia (Johnson) and Thomas Edward Brady, who owns a financial planning business. Brady's father is of Irish origin and his mother hails from Norwegian-Swedish and Polish heritage. He attended Junipero Serra High School, which is also the school which produced Barry Bonds, the SF Giants the most well-known player. From 1995 to 1999 he was a student at the University of Michigan. Brian Griese was Brian's backup quarterback at the time the Wolverines won the national championship in 1997. In 1998 and 1999, Brady was a backup to Drew Henson as the starting quarterback. He was able to post 20-5 in his career including an 2-0 mark at bowl games. Brady was a sixth-round draft pick of the New England Patriots in 2000. Drew Bledsoe and John Friesz were the fourth-string quarterbacks. He was followed by Michael Bishop, Drew Bledsoe and John Friesz in 2000. After the end of training camp, Brady was promoted to second string quarterback. Both Brady and the Patriots fortunes changed on the 23rd of September 2001, when Bledsoe was seriously injured by "Mo Lewis" who was a New York Jet linebacker. Brady was replaced by Bledsoe during the game and has been the starting quarterback in every Patriot game at quarterback since. Bledsoe did not get his job again. Brady led the Patriots to an 11-3 run to close out the 2001 regular season. The Patriots went on into playoffs. Brady won the Super Bowl 20-17 over the St. Louis Rams.
