Ratched Season 2

The film and television industries are notoriously cautious in the case of spin-off series and origin stories, however when American Horror Story superstars Ryan Murphy and Sarah Paulson in charge, their Netflix series, which is a prequel to drama film One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was a smashing success. The TV show dives into the backstory of the villain of the film, the insufferable nurse Mildred Ratched, and looks at the way she became the persona that the audience of the classic thriller film adored to hate. The series premiered in September of 2020 and was a huge success. Ratched received mixed reviews from critics, with an average rating of 61 percent on Rotten Tomatoes however, it received nominations for four Primetime Emmys, indicating that it was a huge hit with viewers.48 million viewers watched the show within 28 days of its debut, making it the most-watched season premiere of 2020, according to Netflix. A second season of the show was unavoidable due to its enormous success. We have very little information on Season 2 of Ratched, including the premiere date, cast and the plot. The first season of Ratched concluded by Nurse Ratched fleeing to Mexico along with Briggs who miraculously recovered from cancer. Nurse Bucket was left to assume the role of Lucia State. This was not as American Horror Story and more Thelma and Louise. However, we are fully aware that this happy ending will not last forever. Not only Ratched's brother Edmund is avoiding capture and plotting her murder, but due to the fact that this is a prequel series we already know how Ratched's story will conclude. The ultimate goal of the series is to give background for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by providing a glimpse into the way Nurse Ratched got to be the perverted, depraved megalomaniac that we see in the film.
