Francia Raisa Almendarez, born on July 26 1988 is an American actress. Raisa is well-known for her roles in Bring It On, All or Nothing, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Grown-ish. Raisa was born to Virginia Almendarez (nee Pelayo) who was a Mexican mother and Renan Almendarez Colello who was a popular radio personality who is of Honduran origin. After a few years, Raisa was born, her father began with his new Latin radio show, "El Cucuy".Raisa attended Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California, where she was a cheerleader.Raisa began taking acting roles during her junior year of high school and began modeling for print ads as well as being featured in commercials. In American Family: Journey of Dreams as well as Over There, she was as a guest on. Raisa was featured in Lil"Romo's music videos "My Girlfriend" and "So Big" in 2004. A month into her senior years, she was booked in one of her first lead roles. She starred opposite Hayden Panettiere's Bring It On: Everything or Nothing. She played Isabel in Shredderman Rules on Nickelodeon, and Alexandra Delgado in The Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream and The Cutting Edge: Fire and Ice. From its inception in July 2008 to the finale of the series, she played the role as Adrian Lee on ABC Family's successful drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
