Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez, a model and actress from Sri Lanka, was born on the 11th of August, 1985. In addition to appearing on reality TV and music videos, she has also worked in Indian films predominantly in Hindi. She made her debut in Hindi films in the year 2009 alongside Aladin. Fernandez is the daughter of an multiracial Eurasian, Canadian and Malaysian family. She was born in Bahrain and raised there. After graduating from mass communication at the University of Sydney and working as a journalist on television in Sri Lanka, she joined the modeling business. In 2006 she was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka and was a representative of Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2006. While doing a modeling job in India in 2009, Fernandez auditioned for Sujoy's romantic drama Aladin. It was her acting debut. Fernandez's breakthrough role was in the psychological thriller Murder 2 (2011). It was her first commercial success. The success of this film was followed by performances in the comedy ensemble Housefull 2 (2012), and the action thriller Race 2 (2013). Fernandez received an IIFA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Fernandez was a star in the action films Kick (2014), Vikrant Rona (2022) and Vikrant Rona (2022), as well as the comedy Housefull 3 (2016).
