Shannon Spake

 Shannon Spake, born July 23, 1976, is an anchor for the NFL and hosts NASCAR on Fox Sports. Before that, she worked for ESPN where she was a contributor to SportsCenter for pre- and post-game updates and was also a sideline reporter for SEC on ESPN basketball games as well as college football matches. Spake also worked for the new SEC Network which is owned by ESPN.Before coming to ESPN, Spake worked at Speed channel, where she hosted NASCAR Nation in its second version (June through November 2005) and also worked as the reporter for its inaugural edition (February through June 2005). She also hosted Back Seat Drivers, a talk show, with online columnist Marty Smith. Her previous on-air jobs included those at WCCB in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as Carolina Sports and Entertainment Television.From 2007 until the year 2014. Spake was a NASCAR pit reporter for ESPN, and was a contributor to NASCAR Countdown and NASCAR Now. Spake was a full-time pit reporter for Nationwide races and Sprint Cup races that aired on ESPN in 2008. This role would be continued until ESPN dropped the rights to broadcast NBC Sports in the 2015 season. Spake signed an extension of her contract for a multi-year period on August 13 in 2013.
