 Alicia Silverstone is an American actress. She made her film debut in the thriller The Crush (1993), earning the 1994 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, and gained further prominence at age 16 as a teen idol when she was featured in Aerosmith's music video "Cryin'". In 1995, she played in the role of Cher Horowitz in Clueless (1995), earning the multimillion-dollar contract with Columbia Pictures. She starred as Batgirl in the big-budget 1997 superhero film Batman & Robin. In 1995, Silverstone was nominated for an award called a Golden Globe for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy. She continues to perform in television and film as well as on stage.A vegan, Silverstone has endorsed PETA initiatives and has released two cookbooks: The Kind Diet (2009) and The Kind Mama (2014).Silverstone was born in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Deirdre "Didi" Silverstone (nee Radford) (nee Radford), who was a Scottish ex- Pan Am flight attendant; and Monty Silverstone, an English real estate agent. She was raised in Hillsborough, California. Her father was born to an ethnically Jewish family. Her mother converted to Conservative Judaism after she married. Silverstone held her Bat Mitzvah ceremony.She began modeling when she was six,and was then cast in television commercials, the first being for Domino's Pizza.She attended Crocker Middle School, then San Mateo High School.Sharon Elizabeth Lawrence (born June 29th, 1961)is an American actress. She starred in the ABC drama, NYPD Blue, from 1993 to 1999. The role garnered three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and Satellite Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama. The actress also received three Emmy Awards nominations for her subsequent television appearances. Following her NYPD Blue breakthrough, Lawrence was a regular on the sitcoms Fired Up (1997-98) and Ladies Man (1999-2001). she was on the CBS supernatural drama Wolf Lake in 2001, and the CW Teen drama Hidden Palms in 2007. Lawrence was well-known for her roles as a regular on Desperate Housewives and Drop Dead Diva as well as Rizzoli & Isles's Queen Sugar, Shameless, Shameless, The Ranch, Shameless and Rizzoli & Isles. Her film credits include Gossip (2000), Middle of Nowhere (2012) and Solace (2015). In 2021, she began playing in the Paramount+ neo-Western series, Jo Pickett.Lawrence was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. She moved from Charlotte to Raleigh in her junior year of high school. She then was a graduate of Needham B. Broughton High School. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 1983.
