Luke Norris

 Luke was born in September 1985 and brought up by his mom in the Romford area. He describes himself as a 'gracious Essex boy'. Thanks to an instructor from the local drama school who sponsored his audition, Luke was accepted into the National Youth Theatre after which he enrolled at the Central School of Speech and Drama and was presented with the Alan Bates Bursary for 2008. After graduation, he began to build up an impressive stage C.V., including the role of the lead in Tennessee Williams' 'Orpheus Descending' at the Manchester Royal Exchange, and in 'A View from the Bridge and 'Blue/Orange' in the Young Vic. Luke is also a well-regarded playwright. In fact, he started writing plays in his teens to be a second string in case his career was not successful acting. His plays 'Goodbye To All That', 'So Here We Are', and Growth were praised by the critics at Edinburgh Fringe. 'Hearts’ was also performed at Sheffield Crucible and the Shed at The National and "Growth" at the Edinburgh Fringe. As of 2016 he's also a Bush Theatre commissionee. The actor can be seen as the character Dr Dwight Enys, an idealistic however flawed character, in the second episode of 'Poldark. He's married to Joanna Horton, a actress born in April 1980. They have their daughter Albie.
