Mandie Adell Taketa is an American actress who is also an exercise model, yoga teacher, and martial artist. She was the ex-wife of actor and comedian Wayne Brady. Native to Hawaii, Taketa was trained in martial arts by her father. from a young age she competed and refereeing in competitions in martial arts. Taketa was also interested and received a full scholarship at the University of Hawaii for dancing. However, she chose to go to Los Angeles and pursue a career in dancing and acting. In 2007, she was the first actress to be featured in the comedy film ManBand! the Movie'. Brady was married to Taketa in April of 1999. They have a daughter together who was born in February 2003. They decided to have their daughter raised together following their divorce in April of 2008. This is why she eventually moved to Brady's neighborhood. Taketa is not an active social media user. She does have an Instagram account, and she writes occasionally.
