Matt Gutman is ABC News Chief National Correspondent who is based in Los Angeles. He is a correspondent for all ABC News broadcasts and platforms, including "World News Tonight with David Muir," "20/20," "Good Morning America" and "Nightline." Gutman has reported from over forty nations for ABC News and ABC News's channels, including "World News Tonight with David Muir,"" "20/20," Good Morning America, and "Nightline." Gutman's tireless reporting helped "20/20" achieve an Emmy(r) for its documentary on the deadly 2017 Las Vegas massacre and a Christopher Award for its reporting on the Thai cave rescue. Gutman took part in every step of that treacherous mission to save the 12 boys and their soccer coach from a flood-prone cave in Thailand. Gutman later wrote "The Cave Boys" that chronicled the heroisms of a motley crew of cave diving misfits the US Airforce, and Thai Navy Seals who led the rescue.
