 Jennifer Ann McCarthy is an American model, actress, and a pro-vaccine activist. The multi-faceted personality has also worked as screenwriter and television show host. McCarthy is often referred to as Jenny Wahlberg, came into the spotlight when she began her modeling career with "Playboy" magazine, as one of their naive models. In 1994, just one year after joining Playboy magazine she was named the Playboy Playmate of Year. The recognition she received as a model led her to enter the world of television and film as well. She became the co-host of the MTV dating game show "Singled Out as well as appearing in films such as 'BASEketball', 'Diamonds' and 'Scream 3' and the 'Scary Movie 3'. Jenny McCarthy is also well recognized for her efforts in promoting awareness about autism since her child was diagnosed with the same. She has expressed her views about vaccines as the primary reason for autism, which provoked controversy. She has also written books on parenting and addressed issues like 'alternative medical treatments for autism and autism in them. Global criticism was levelled on her due to her public statements blaming vaccines for autism. She was also described as an advocate of the anti-vaxxer ideology.
