Jessica Chastain

 Jessica Michelle Chastain was conceived in Sacramento, California. She was raised in an upper middle class family in Northern California. Jerri Chastain is her mother and she is a vegan chef. Her stepfather is a firefighter. She discovered dance at the age of nine and was in a dance troupe by age thirteen. She began performing in Shakespearean productions throughout the Bay area.An actor from the production of "Romeo Juliet" inspired her to apply for Juilliard as an acting major. She became a member of "Crew 32" thanks to a scholarship from one of Juilliard's most famous alumni, Robin Williams.In her last year at Juilliard she was offered a hold deal with TV writer/producer John Wells and she eventually was a part of three of his TV shows. Jessica continues to be involved in the theatre industry and has been in "The Cherry Orchard" The "Rodney's Wife""Salome", "Rodney's Wife," as well as "Othello". She divides her time in New York and Los Angeles, working in theater, film and televisi
