Katherine Elizabeth Upton was born in St. Joseph, Michigan she was the daughter of Shelley Fawn (Davis), an American state tennis champion from Texas, and Jefferson Matthew Upton, a high school athletics director. Fred Upton, a Michigan congressman, is her grandfather. Upton always knew she wanted to be model. Since joining IMG Models in 2010, Kate has become the talk of the town. Over the past two years, Kate has graced the cover of the legendary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, which has led to an onslaught of media buzz regarding the 21-year-old. Kate's popularity was elevated to a higher height when she was featured on the June 2013 American Vogue cover shot by Mario Testino, whose byline proclaims "American Dream Girl Kate Upton: the Story of How Kate Upton Became the Hottest Supermodel on Earth." She's still one of the top celebrities on Google with appearances on Jimmy Kimmel, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live.
