Leah Marie Remini was born on June 15,1970 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York & was raised in Los Angeles, California. Leah was born to Vicki Julia Marshall, & George Anthony Remini, who was the owner of an asbestos removal business. Nicole is her elder sister. She also has four half-sisters, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Shannon and Stephanie (who died of cancer in 2013). From 1998 until 2007, she appeared on the CBS comedy series The King of Queens. She later was host of The Talk from 2010-11. Since 2016 she has created the show, hosted it and executive produced it. co-produced the Emmy Award-winning A&E documentary series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. Since 2020 Remini is co-hosting and producing the iHeart radio podcast Scientology: Fair GameShe was Baptized Roman Catholic. Remini was 8 years old when she was a child when her mother began her journey with Scientology. Remini was then raised as an Scientologist.
