Russell Wilson

 Wilson was born on November 29 1988, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Wilson grew up in Richmond, Virginia. Wilson graduated from Stone Bridge High School, Virginia and was honored with the title of all-region player and all-district and all-state football player. He was the first quarterback at North Carolina State University. But, he was frequently at odds with his football coach Tom O'Brien as he also continued to play baseball. Wilson was drafted in 2010 by the Colorado Rockies, Major League Baseball. Wilson and O'Brien had disagreements so he transferred to Wisconsin-Madison to complete his last year of eligibility for college. Wilson enjoyed a stellar senior year leading the Badgers towards the Big 10 conference title and setting the NCAA record in passing efficiency. Wilson was then drafted by the Seattle Seahawks during the 2012 NFL Draft. Wilson was selected as the 75th overall pick and was chosen in round three of the Draft. Wilson was 5'11" tall, was thought to be too short to be a quarterback. He was the sixth quarterback draft pick. Linebacker Luke Kuechly, quarterback Andrew Luck, as well as linebacker Bobby Wagner are some of the most prominent players that were chosen together with Wilson in 2012.Wilson was selected as the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks in his first season with them in 2012. Wilson had to compete with Matt Flynn and Tarvaris Jackson for the starting spot. Wilson was named the Rookie of the Year in 2012 as he helped the Seahawks finish the season on a five-game winning streak and He also scored the total of 26 touchdowns during the season. He was instrumental in helping the Seahawks claim an NFC West title in the subsequent season. The Seahawks made it to Super Bowl XLVIII and Russell Wilson became the fourth quarterback to win a Super Bowl in his second season at the NFL. In the Super Bowl match
