One year and half has gone by since the conclusion of HBO's limited series Mare Of Easttown. People are still discussing the possibility of a second season. Mare Sheehan herself, Kate Winslet has stated that the future of the series is still uncertain. Winslet spoke to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in a new interview. "All I can say is that no decision has been made. In truth, it hasn't."Both Winslet and Mare Of Easttown's creator Brad Ingelsby have teased ideas for a new season of the Emmy-winning show, but there's no indication that anything has developed into a form yet."It's difficult to say, being honest about... It's a pity Here we go. This is going to get repeated and quoted," Winslet explains. "How do you think that will change? Those are questions we can't answer right now. What would be the outcome? It was so successful, it was more popular and profitable than we could have hoped for. We all feel extremely proud of the work we achieved. "I am so proud of all the actors." The first episode of Mare Of Easttown was a significant win for HBO's programs. Season 1 of Mare Of Easttown was an enormous success. It was awarded 16 Emmy nominations. The Emmy winners were Evan Peters, Winslet and Julianne Nicholson. Winslet asks, "Do you quit while you're ahead?" "Do you raise your head high and say"Look at the accomplishments we made, I'm so proud of this' and then go away? Or do we attempt the same thing again?"Additionally, Winslet knows the challenges of playing a character like Mare. The amount of trauma that the detective had to go through in the first season could make a follow-up season more difficult.
