Amanda Drury (born 5 May 1973 [citation needed]) is an Australian journalist and anchor for news for CNBC hosting business and finance programming in New York City. She was the co-host of Street Signs, the US version of Street Signs until its end on February 6, 2015 and was featured on various CNBC programs as an expert on financial as well as business.Drury was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She also was a student at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Drury began her career in Japan as an international relations specialist. Her broadcasting career began with radio prior to moving into television. She worked for Bloomberg Tokyo between 1999 and 2000. CNBC took her on in the beginning of January 2001. She worked for eight years at their Asia-Pacific headquarters of Singapore. She was assigned to CNBC Sydney in 2009 prior to being transferred to the global headquarters of CNBC in New Jersey in May 2010. Drury's first job at CNBC USA was as the co-ancho for the show "The Call". Drury has been on numerous CNBC programs and segments. In March 2011 she was named co-presenter of The Call (US Version). She was also a finalist for the 2008 and 2007 Asian Television Awards in category of the Best News Presenter.
