Amanda Drury (born 5 May 1973[citation needed]) is an Australian journalist and news anchor for CNBC, hosting finance and business programming in New York City. She was co-host of Street Signs, the US version of Street Signs until its end on February 6, 2015 and was featured on various CNBC shows as an expert in finance and business.Drury was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She graduated with a bachelor's master's degree in fine arts Japanese and French at the University of Melbourne. She also went to the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School.Drury began working in Japan in international relations. Her career in broadcasting began in radio, before she moved into television. She was employed by Bloomberg Tokyo between 1999 between 1999 and 2000. She joined CNBC in January 2001 and spent eight years based at the company's Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore. In 2009, she was stationed in CNBC Sydney. She was transferred to CNBC's global headquarters in New Jersey in May 2010. Drury's first position in CNBC USA was as the co-ancho of "The Call". Drury has been on different CNBC shows and segments. In March of 2011, she was announced as co-presenter on The Call (US Version). She was also a finalist at the 2008 and 2007 Asian Television Awards in category of the Best News Presenter.
