Jeanne Tripplehorn

 Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born June 10, 1963) is an American actress from the United States. Her stage career began on the stage. She was a part of a variety of plays, including Anton Chekhov’s Three Sisters. Her film career began with the character of police psychologist in the thriller erotic called Basic Instinct (1992). Other film roles she has played include The Firm (1993), Waterworld (1995) and Sliding Doors (1998). On television, she starred as Barbara Henrickson on the HBO drama series Big Love (2006-2011) and as Dr. Alex Blake on the CBS police drama Criminal Minds (2012-2014), and she received the Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her performance as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the 2009 HBO film Grey Gardens.Tripplehorn was born on June 10, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Suzanne Ferguson and Tom Tripplehorn, who was once a guitarist in Gary Lewis & the Playboys. The divorce of her parents occurred at the age of two years older. She graduated from Edison High School in 1981 and spent one semester studying at the University of Tulsa. She was a part-time performer on local TV shows Creature Feature (1982-83) & Night Shift (1983). She also worked part-time and then full-time on local radio station KMOD for a number of years prior to departing for Juilliard.She was then a student at the Juilliard School's Drama Division as a member of Group 19 (1986-1990), which also comprised Laura Linney.
