Kimberly Jan Dickens, born June 18, 1965 is an American actress. Her debut film was Palookaville which was a comedy film that she made in 1995. Dickens was the main character in Truth or Consequences N.M. (1997) as well as Zero Effect (1998). She also played a part in Mercury Rising (1998). Other films she has starred in are Great Expectations (1998) and Hollow Man (1998). She stars as Madison Clark in the AMC horror drama series Fear the Walking Dead (2015-2018; 2022-present).Dickens was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Pam (Clark) Howell and Justin Dickens, a country-western singer. She graduated from Lee High School in Huntsville in Alabama. She then attended Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, to earn a Bachelor's degree in communications. Dickens soon relocated to New York City, where she was waitress. She then continued her studies at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and later was a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
