Maggie Gyllenhaal

 Margalit Ruth "MaggieGyllenhaal was born on November 16, 1977. She is an American actor and director. Part of the Gyllenhaal family she is the daughter of film directors Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal.She began her acting career in the teen years with minor parts in a few of her father's films, and appeared with her brother in the film that became a cult hit Donnie Darko (2001). She was then seen in Adaptation and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was highly praised for her roles in the romantic comedy drama Secretary (2002 and 2006) as well as the action drama Sherrybaby (2006). Both of these earned her nominations for the Golden Globe Award. After several films that were commercially successful in 2006, including World Trade Center, she gained more attention for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008).
